What will you learn?

You learn the basics of working safely on a construction site, gathering simple spatial data under supervision, keeping that data organised so it can be found again, and turning it into basic maps. The work it prepares you for is mainly routine and closely supervised, so it suits someone testing out the field rather than an experienced technician. From here, most people continue into a Certificate III or take up a traineeship with a surveying firm or council.
