What will you learn?

Students learn how to communicate with people in custody or on community orders, write the reports and case notes that record what happens, keep a facility secure and monitor behaviour, and work safely. There are separate streams for adult and youth custodial work and for supervising offenders in the community, so the units can be shaped around the job you hold. Requirements are set by law and vary between states and territories, so it's worth checking with the relevant jurisdiction.
