What will you learn?

It is built around an apprenticeship: you sign a training contract with an employer, learn at the bench while you study, and end up assessed against the standard the job actually needs. People who already have workshop experience can also be assessed through formal trade recognition instead. The work covers designing and making jewellery and small objects, using hand tools and a wide range of materials including metals, stones, woods, plastics and fibres, with some units assessed in a working workshop.
