Entry recommendations
To be prepared for this course, it helps to have:
- an interest in wine production and how wine is made
- a careful approach to safety and food safety rules
- good communication skills for working in a team
- an eye for detail when keeping records and reporting
What will you learn?
You learn the safety and food safety rules that govern wine production, how to keep equipment and processes running well, and how to report on how a shift or a workplace is performing. Training is largely practical and can be tailored towards one part of the industry, such as winery operations, grape growing or customer service, so you finish with skills you can use straight away in a winery, vineyard or tasting room.
