To be prepared for this course, it helps to have:
- an interest in making films, games or other screen content
- the habit of seeing a creative project through to the end
- good communication skills for working with clients and crews
- a careful attitude to safety on set and in the studio
What will you learn?
Much of the learning happens through making things: you plan a creative project, carry it through to a finished result, and build the industry knowledge that sits behind the work. There is practical business content too, covering how to find clients and run your own freelance work, along with the safety habits that protect you and a crew on set or in a studio. No formal entry requirements apply, though the course assumes you can study and produce work at diploma level.
