What will you learn?

You learn to plan and direct lifts, work at heights and from boom-type elevating work platforms, and read the plans, measurements and load calculations behind each job. Safety runs through the whole course because the work is high risk, and the rigging and dogging units are licensed, so you complete the assessments your state or territory licensing authority requires. Most people also finish general construction induction training, usually called the White Card, before they start on site.

Units of competency (12 core, 7 elective)

The qualification is made up of 19 units. Everyone completes the 12 core units below, and the remaining 7 are electives chosen from the list on training.gov.au, so they vary by provider. Select a unit to see what it covers.
