To be prepared for this course, it helps to have:

- a careful approach to safety and legal obligations
What will you learn?
You learn how to lead and roster a team, prepare and monitor budgets, keep service standards high, manage conflict when it comes up, and stay on the right side of workplace health and safety and other legal obligations. It suits someone already working in a restaurant, hotel, pub, club, cafe or catering operation who is ready to take responsibility for staff and for operational decisions, and the skills carry across all of those settings. Employers range from small venues, where one manager covers everything, to larger hotels and clubs with separate departments.
