What will you learn?
You learn to produce detail drawings for mechanical and machine components, steel fabrication, piping and fluid power systems, and electrical and mechanical services, using computer-aided drafting software. Most of the work is about accuracy: getting dimensions, tolerances, materials and assembly details right so the drawing matches what can be made. It suits people who already have some drafting or trade background and want to specialise, and it is usually delivered as a traineeship rather than through a school program.
