To be prepared for this course, it helps to have:

- a careful approach to safety around machinery and chemicals
- willingness to adapt when plans change during the day
- good communication skills for working with a team
What will you learn?
You learn to work safely around machinery, animals and chemicals, and to handle a wide range of day to day tasks with only broad supervision, including choosing equipment and adjusting when plans change. Sustainable practice runs through the training, so you also cover how to limit damage to soil, water and surrounding land. There are no entry requirements, which makes it a common starting point for school leavers and for people moving across from other outdoor work.
